Our monthly DX/Contesting Special Interest Group meeting will take place this coming Tuesday, July 23th, at 7PM at our famous PCARS World HQ.

Our discussion will be on the PCARS participation in the North American QSO Party – RTTY Mode, that took place July 20-21. We will discuss what went right and if anything was sort of wonky. We will also be discussing how we can do more of these.

This Thursday evening is our monthly “Net Night at the ClubSite”. This month will be our Special, PCARS, Mini-Hamfest – live at the PCARS World Headquarters, 705 Oakwood St. Ravenna, Ohio 44266, USA, planet Earth.

Come on out to SELL! Come on out to BUY! Come on out if you just want to hang around and look at what everybody brought out….. just have some cash in your pocket in case you see something you just HAVE to HAVE!

I’ll be there to open the doors by 5:30PM and we’ll stick around till about 9:30PM. If you want to set up outside please bring your own table. No pizza or dinner, but if you want to bring some snacks to pass along that would be appreciated.

Don’t forget – check into the net wherever you are!

PCARS Contesters:

On Saturday, July 20, we will be participating in the North American QSO Party – RTTY Mode contest. The contest runs from 2PM on Saturday until 2AM on Sunday morning. (12 hours).

We’d like to get a list of who will be coming out to take part in this event and helping to get K8BF to have a great showing.

Right now we are figuring on 2 hr shifts with two stations on the air at any one time. That means there will be a total of 12 shifts. Please email my personal email address: chuckw8pt@gmail.com to let me know if you are coming and when you might like to operate. We will try to accommodate all requests. But if there is a conflict, it will be first come first served unless the two parties want to flip a coin.

The Antenna SIG meetings are open to all PCARS members and guests. All ham radio operators or anyone interested in Amateur Radio are also welcome to attend.
We will be discussing all aspects of antenna design, construction, test equipment, and experimentation. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion, and talk about their antennas or anything Ham Radio.
